This course is specifically about the intricacies of diving to the maximum recreation limit of 130 feet (40 meters). For the in water session you will use redundant air, see the effects of nitrogen narcosis, and perform mock decompression stops. (This is not a decompression class, for that see Deco 40)
The Deco 40 certification allows divers to extend their bottom time by performing decompression stops. This course is designed to be done with your normal recreational equipment with the addition of a pony bottle for safety. With appropriate practices it can be possible to safely double the bottom times of dives, even at depths of 130 feet! A minimum of 2 days are required and you must already have a strong comfort level with your basic skills.
Deco 50 is truly a technical diver course. It must be done in twinset or side mount and qualifies the diver to stay beyond no decompression limits and subsequently perform decompression stops during the ascent. This course allows for trimix as the bottom gas and accelerated decompression with a stage bottle gas of up to 100 oxygen. Maximum depth is 165 feet/50 meters.
Nitrox is a blend of breathing gas with increased oxygen and decreased nitrogen. Breathing this mix can significantly increase time limits at depth and is a valuable option for any diver looking to get the most from their diving. This class is primarily theory to understand what you are using, but lets be real, we all want to dive so a free dive is included!
Whether you plan to start the path toward cave diving or want to experience the bliss of comfort and flexibility in every dive environment, Sidemount is for you. This is the art of moving the tank from your back to directly along your sides. Allowing for more breathing gas, redundancy in the case of equipment failure, access to tank valves and so much more! this class can be done with one pool session and a day of open water diving.
This course is for anyone who wants to increase gas supply while adding redundancy to the rig. Twinset diving is the tried and true foundational setup for technical diving in deep or overhead environments. Learn to do valve drills, balance your rig, and some of the nuances to proper configuration.
When divers think of drysuit they think cold water. It is true that drysuits allow you to dive in even the coldest of waters with complete comfort, but there are many more benefits of drysuits including redundant buoyancy, easy on the fly trim adjustments, easier to dress at the dive site, etc. This course is designed to teach you the nuances that will make your drysuit experience safe and enjoyable.
This training takes you into the exciting world of flooded caverns. You will learn how to handle the "what ifs" of having a ceiling above you while scuba diving. Divers can expect to master low silt propulsion techniques, guide line management, zero viz situations and more. The class is conducted over at least 2 days and is best done in Florida or other location with beautiful caverns.
Learn to use a full face mask that can increase comfort, allow for the use of radio comms and keeps cold or nasty water from ever touching your face!
This course will introduce you to the Wonderfull world of cold and ice. With the proper equipment and procedures you can comfortably and safely explore the waters under the ice, effectively extending your dive season as well as giving you the chance see dive sites in a new level of visibility since many murky summer dives become crystal clear during the cold winter.
This specialty is perfect for the diver who does not want to be dependent on their buddy. Whether you want to dive alone or just find yourself with buddies who don't pay enough attention (photographers, student divers, instabuddies on a charter boat, etc) it's always nice to know you can take care of yourself.
