This is an entire branch of diving designed for the public safety professional. You will learn the techniques and procedures to operate in the challenging environments and conditions required of the public servant for rescues and recoveries.
ERD 1 is an introduction to the fundamentals of team operations, including scene management, search patterns, chain of custody and more. You will begin preparing for the challenges of this type of diving with entanglement drills, blind drills and more. This is the "ops" level.
At this level you will demonstrate mastery of skills in fully encapsulating equipment and redundant air. You will also learn how to command a response scene, maintain evidence chain of custody, and properly document calls. This is the "tech" level
